Wading Into the Waves Holding My Savior’s Hand

Wading Into the Waves Holding My Savior’s Hand

Just saw that my newest blog is up at MomLifeToday.  I hope you enjoy it.

I’d also like to ask for prayer as I begin a new book proposal!  Working on Chapter 1…draft number 1,365,279…just kidding, it just feels that way! I’m so excited about the idea and I feel such a passion to share what God is showing me!  Can’t wait to see what God does with this!

Praying each of you has a wonderful, wonderful weekend filled with unexpected and beautiful blessings!

Bedtime Prayers…Anytime!

Thank you so much for all YOUR prayers!  I’ve been blessed by all your sweet encouraging words and prayers as my family deals with my Dad’s failing health!  God has been so very gracious and kind to us all!  It’s very difficult but His faithfulness abounds!

Thank you again!

I hope you enjoy this post for MomLifeToday.  🙂

Can I Really Control the Weather?

“Mommy, it’s all your fault.” It was raining and although we had on all our pool attire, we were not heading to the pool.  It wasn’t just raining, it was pouring buckets.  And my five year old was spittin’ mad…spittin’ mad at me!     Lately I’ve been feeling like I have absolutely no control over… Continue reading Can I Really Control the Weather?

My Money Faucet…Quick!! Someone Get a Wrench!

So I know in polite conversation you aren’t supposed to talk about God, politics or money. I already talk about God because He’s everything to me. And although I have very strong opinions about most things, I’ve decided to refrain from politics. But today I just gotta vent a bit about money. Oh my goodness!!!… Continue reading My Money Faucet…Quick!! Someone Get a Wrench!

Being Right and Other Wrongs

Nothing has done greater damage to our Christian testimony than our trying to be right and demanding right of others. We become preoccupied with what is and what is not right. We ask ourselves, Have we been justly or unjustly treated? And we think thus to vindicate our actions. But that is not our standard.… Continue reading Being Right and Other Wrongs

Anyone Else Feel Done?

Today I feel done. I am done. Done with disrespect and disobedience and difficulties. Done with trying to reason with teenagers. Done with trying to reign in kindergarteners. Done with trying to make decisions. Done with trying to get organized. Done with cleaning up the mess my ex-husband has made.  Done with trying to understand… Continue reading Anyone Else Feel Done?

so yeah…let’s pray

So yeah… this week. I’ll just give you the highlights otherwise it’ll seem like I’m writing my second book! And I’ll try to keep it funny. Monday – dental fillings….enough said. Tuesday – locked my keys in my car. Oh but I didn’t just lock my keys in the car…nope. I locked my keys AND… Continue reading so yeah…let’s pray

Worth

Recently I began a Bible study with my oldest daughter and a few of her friends. At our first meeting all I had were Bibles and notebooks for the girls, but no Bible study book or even a topic. My prayer going into this study was that God would reveal what these girls most need… Continue reading Worth

Leaving is Not an Option…This Family is About Staying

There is something profoundly painful about a child saying they want to leave. It cuts to the core. I know that when my children say things like, “I’ll just go live with Dad,” or “I’ll just go live with insert name” or even “I want a different mommy,” it’s more about being frustrated than actually… Continue reading Leaving is Not an Option…This Family is About Staying
