Prayer has been both my first response and my last resort. It has been the thread of sanity through difficult seasons. The words that put me back to sleep during a restless night. Prayer is the ending of long days The blessing offered with my children at night. The quiet of the morning and the… Continue reading Prayer Is…

Hopefully
Advent – Hope “May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.” Romans 15:13 How simply beautiful is the phrase “God of hope”. The God who breathes life, speaks creation, and loves unceasingly,… Continue reading Hopefully
Advent – A Long Line
He doesn’t love us in spite of who we are…He loves us as we are…His precious children. His dear ones. The apples of His eye. Chosen by Him for Him.
Rivers and Fires
He is continually holding my face in His gentle hands and pulling my eyes to His and reminding me once again that the only true peace is found in Him. Nothing else.
Advent, a Little Doubt, and A Lot of Prayer
Because maybe in grasping truly what He went through for us, we, as a family, can grasp how our lives fit into a grander plan. It’s the passage where Jesus invites Peter and Andrew to join Him. The whole scene played out so vividly in… Continue reading Waiting with Peaceful Expectation
Perfect…Just Perfect
A while ago I wrote a blog where I mentioned my expectations of perfection. At the time it garnered a fair amount of conversation. Apparently, others see this propensity in me as well. And, although I now see it very clearly, I’m still unsure of how to change it because I’m not sure where to… Continue reading Perfect…Just Perfect
Living Strong
I’ve been thinking about strength lately, mostly because I really need some. I’ve been praying about it a lot too. And I realized that I’ve been living under the assumption that at some point God will just zap me with strength so I can get busy doing all the things I think I need to… Continue reading Living Strong
Hope?
Hope. Such a beautiful word. In it is bound up all that is good in our perspective and all that we have to look forward to in our lives. It is spoken concerning the smallest of things, “I hope I remember where I put that”, to the big life-changing desires we hold, “I hope I… Continue reading Hope?
